Routes to be diverted on RaGa’s arrival in Doon today

Traffic on many routes will remain diverted and some areas will be converted into zero zones in Dehradun in view of the arrival of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today. The police informed that there will be a zero zone for all types of vehicles around the Parade Ground and nearby areas like Kanak Chowk, Lansdowne Chowk, Convent of Jesus and Mary school junction, Employment office junction and Doonga House junction. Vehicles from Survey Chowk will be diverted to Araghar and Beni Bazaar and vehicles from Buddha Chowk and Darshanlal Chowk will be diverted to Clock Tower and Tehsil Chowk respectively. Vehicles from Orient Chowk and Pacific Hotel junction will also be sent to Clock Tower and Dilaram Chowk. Vehicles of all the people arriving to participate in the rally from Rishikesh, Tehri, Thano and Raipur will be parked near Nanaksar Gurudwara in Raipur Road.

Vehicles arriving from Haridwar will be parked near Rispana Bridge, Dharmpur Chowk and in the premises of Bannu School and Guru Nanak Inter College. The vehicles will be parked at the new BJP office in Ring Road if the parking gets full on these locations. The police informed that vehicles of MPs and MLAs will be parked in Rangers Ground. Vehicles from the outside will not be allowed in the barricaded areas in Dilaram Chowk, Dharmpur Chowk, Bindal Bridge junction, Sahastradhara Crossing and Saharanpur Chowk and only pedestrians will be allowed to enter after thorough checking. The police appealed to people to park their vehicles today in their designated areas as per the traffic plan.
