In latest news from Uttarakhand, with the forest blaze becoming grim in the forest in Nainital and surrounding areas, the State government has deployed MI -17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force. The chopper filled its tanks with the water of Bhimtal lake and doused the flames. Earlier, the State government deployed MI-17 choppers to douse the forest blaze in 2019 and 2021.
The blaze has become so intense this year that the army jawans have been put into action.
