In latest news from Uttarakhand, while addressing the BJP’s Vijay Sankalp Rally in the IDPL ground in Rishikesh, the Prime Minister launched a scathing attack on the Congress on the issue of Ram mandir in Ayodhaya.
The grand old party had left no stone unturned to foil attempts to pave way for the temple construction, he said and added that they had succeeded in keeping the matter mired in litigation for years. But when it had come into existence the Congress had stayed away from the temple’s consecration, the PM said. He wondered aloud why the party had remained averse to the temple of Lord Ram all through.
