Delhi police recorded the statement of the AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal about the alleged assault case. She is learnt to have told the cops that the AAP nation convener and Delhi CM Arvind Khejriwal’s aid Bibhav Kumar had slapped her when she was waiting at Khejriwal’s residence to meet him. Police said that they would soon take action on her recorded statement.
After her statement was recorded, security was beefed up at her South Delhi residence and four paramilitary personnel were deployed. Meanwhile, a senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that the incident was condemnable.
