In latest news from Uttarakhand, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between ICAR Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sanasthan (ICAR-VPKAS), Almora and Kumaun University, Nainital for mutual partnership and cooperation in research, training and educational work. The agreement was signed by the registrar of Kumaun University Dinesh Chandra and the director of ICAR VPKAS Lakshmi Kant in the presence of the vice chancellor of university, Diwan Singh Rawat.
Under this agreement, the scientists of ICAR-VPKAS and the faculty members of Agriculture of Kumaon University will work towards joint research work so that the research facilities developed at ICAR-VPKAS and the research works done by Kumaon University are mutually utilised.
Speaking on the occasion, the VC said that the MoU marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between the two institutions which would facilitate institutional collaboration for academic excellence, capacity building and research among other collaborative programmes.
