The president of Uttarakhand BJP Mahendra Bhatt has said that all the five Lok Sabha MPs of the party have performed well and have remained connected with the people of their constituency. Responding to the questions of the mediapersons regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections Bhatt said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party high command have already said that in all the Lok Sabha seats, the symbol of the party Lotus will be the candidate of the party and this principle is also applicable on the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand. On the question of feedback on the works of the MPs, the president of State BJP said that the party remains in regular touch with its MPs through many organisational programmes and meetings. He said that the state in charge Dushyant Gautam, co- in charge Rekha Verma and party president JP Nadda hold meetings with the MPs regularly to discuss development works in their areas. Bhatt averred that the programme of holding night stays by the MPs in the assembly constituencies the party lost in the assembly elections of 2022 is part of the party’s programmes. He said that the party leadership gets regular feedback about the activities of MPs and MLAs and the developmental works undertaken by them.
On a clear note the state president of BJP said that all the MPs have performed exceptionally well. He said that the MPs remained with the people during the pandemic of Covid-19 and had effectively worked to ensure that the schemes of the union government reach the general public. On the question of party tickets, Bhatt said that BJP is a cadre and ideology based party where there is no place for personal ambitions.
