Covid-19 scare DGP orders RAT of all police personnel

After seven police personnel who were deployed for the security of President Ram Nath Kovind on his arrival in Rishikesh were found positive for Covid-19 on Sunday morning, the Uttarakhand police department has geared up to prevent contagion among the police force. The state is witnessing an increase in Covid-19 cases in various districts considering which; the Uttarakhand Police has decided to conduct Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) of all police personnel across the state.

The Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar has issued an order to all district in-charges and unit in-charges to carry out RAT of all police personnel appointed under them in their respective areas. He said that this initiative is being taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19 contagion among and through the police personnel.
