In latest Uttarakhand news, as soon as the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was informed that some tourists from Rajkot, Gujarat, who were staying in a hotel situated under the Laxmajhula police station limit, remained stranded with strong currents flowing inside from the swollen Ganga, it swung into action and rescued the stranded tourists. The SDRF team members said that on reaching the site, they found the tourists remaining stranded in the hotel with water from the river gushing inside and then they used ropes to rescue them, one by one. They further said that they put a sick tourist on a wooden chair and taking contour stretching over about four km, took him to the main road.
