The police in Dehradun have arrested a resident of Bihar who was in possession of over 10 kilogrammes of Ganja on Tuesday. According to the officials, the police arrested the accused Ghanshyam during the joint checking of the State Task Force (STF) along with the Anti Drug Task Force (ADTF) of the district in the Gandhigram area under their campaign to take preventive measures against illegal drug usage. According to them, the accused was found with a total of 10.26 kilogrammes of Ganja in his possession. He has revealed during the investigation that he does this work to make quick money and he also had an accomplice for this job as per the police. They further informed that his accomplice Shivu is absconded and the police are looking for him. The STF officer Ankush Mishra said that ADTF has been constituted under STF to prevent the increasing tendency of drug abuse among youth and school students and to take action against illegal drug smugglers. People must contact the authorities immediately if they come across such drug peddlers, added Mishra.
