A thief caught by the police in Haridwar on Sunday night on the case of vehicle theft turned out to be Corona positive. The thief was reportedly absconding and was arrested by the police. He was kept in lock up at night and when his medical examination got conducted before producing him in the court, the accused turned out to be Covid infected. This caused stir in the police station. The accused has been sent to the hospital and the police station is being santised. The Covid test of the policemen who had come in contact with the accused will also be done.
