The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the pilgrims who are not physically fit and are planning to visit the state for the famed Char Dham Yatra that they should seek the opinion of their doctor before embarking upon the Yatra. The CM made this appeal while addressing a programme organised to mark the fourth annual festival at Shri Kalyanika Himalaya Devasthanam in Almora on Monday. He said that the young pilgrims should make way for the elderly and women to have Darshans in the Char Dhams. Dhami said that the state government is working hard to make the Yatra organised. He said that the priority of his government is to ensure hassle free and safe Yatra for the pilgrims who have come from different parts of the country.

The CM said that his government is fulfilling all the declarations made earlier. He informed that all the processes needed for the Common Civil Code (UCC) have been completed. Dhami said that the state cabinet has approved the proposal to provide three cooking gas cylinders free of cost to the Antyodaya families.

Offering his deep sense of reverence to the Peeth, the CM said that one does not come to such places but he gets the invitation from the deity itself. He said that such Sidh Peeths provide energy to the country and culture of Sanatan Dharma.

Dhami said that the country is making rapid strides on the path of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under his leadership a grand temple of Lord Ram is being constructed in Ayodhya and the grand Kashi corridor in Kashi is ready.

The CM said that the Kedarnath shire which was devastated by the disaster of 2013 has now been reconstructed in a majestic and grand manner. He informed that a sum of Rs  250 crore has been approved for Badrinath Dham.

He said that the Yatra this year is receiving tremendous response after a break of two years and many times more pilgrims are arriving in the state in comparison to the past. He said that the government is monitoring all the arrangements for the Yatra.

Lok Sabha MP Ajay Tamta, MLA Manoj Tiwari, Mohan Singh Mehra and others were present in the programme.
