The union ministry of Home would confer the ‘medal for excellence in investigation’ award to Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of Uttarakhand cadre, Vishakha Ashok Bhadane. She has been selected for the prestigious award for solving the case of the rape and murder case of a little girl in Rishikul area of Haridwar in December 2020. Acting promptly the then Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) Haridwar, Bhadane had arrested the culprit Ramtheerth and recovered the body of the missing girl from the second floor of the house of the culprit.
The Director General (DG) of Uttarakhand police Ashok Kumar has congratulated Bhadane for her achievement.
