Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that regarding the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board, the state government is in favour of positive changes or amendment after deliberations with all stakeholders. He said that a high level committee is being formed to study the effect of changes following the Act on the stakeholders and legal aspects. A decision will be taken on the Devasthanam Board based on the recommendations of this committee.

Dhami said that despite there being provision in the Act for protecting the traditional, religious and economic rights of all stakeholders, there is still some doubt in the minds of the stakeholders connected to the Char Dham shrines. Stating that the Char Dham Yatra is important and that the interests and development of all sections of the state are connected to it, he said that any new arrangement will have to be effective also in protecting the rights of local businessmen and stakeholders.
