Leadership change of no use for BJP- Congress

Terming the change in leadership in Uttarakhand as a moral victory for it the Uttarakhand unit of Congress party has said that the people of the state have made up their mind to throw the BJP out in the state.

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Pritam Singh said that the decision to change the chief minister in Uttarakhand is very late and the people of the state have made up their mind for a change in the elections of 2022.  

The in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress, Devendra Yadav said that the President’s rule should be imposed in Uttarakhand. He claimed that the resignation of Trivendra Singh Rawat is a culmination of a series of corruption in the government.

The leader of opposition Indira Hridayesh said that apart from the people of the state, the MLAs and Member of Parliaments (MP) from the were very angry at Trivendra Singh Rawat. She said that the BJP was in search of a face for chief minister in the last four years but none among the names which are making rounds for the next chief minister have the potential. Launching an attack on the BJP, Hridayesh said that no development work occurred in the last four years and the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat was placed on the last position by a survey recently. She said that the Congress party would sweep to power in the state in next assembly elections.

The Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress, Surya Dhasmana said that Trivendra Singh Rawat is not the only one responsible for the plight of the people in the last four years but the entire leadership of BJP is accountable for it.

Former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Kishore Upadhyaya said that the resignation of Trivendra Singh Rawat is a conspiracy with the people of the state. He said that the rhetoric of the double engine government was exposed in the whole episode. The Spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that the people of Uttarakhand who had given an overwhelming majority to BJP in the assembly are feeling cheated. She questioned – What guarantee the BJP leadership can give about the new CM, would he be better than Trivendra Singh Rawat? Dasauni opined that the new CM would take the time to settle which means that the bureaucracy would become more powerful in the state.
