The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal has said that the huge response during the Parivartan Yatra of Congress party shows the public anger against the BJP government of Uttarakhand.
He said that the Yatra got the more than the expected response in Haridwar. The PCC president said that the plan for the third phase of the Yatra would be finalized soon. He opined that the in next 10 -12 days the condition of roads in the mountainous parts of the state would get somewhat improved for the Yatra.
When asked to comment on the statement of general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and former chief minister Harish Rawat that he wants that someone from among the Dalit community becomes the chief minister of Uttarakhand, Godiyal said that Rawat is in politics from last 50 years and he does not says anything without any reason. Godiyal however added that not much political inference should be deducted from his statement.
