CM Dhami visits state disaster control room

Concerned by the heavy rainfall in different parts of the state and informations about damage to life and property, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the state disaster control room located at the state secretariat on Monday. In the control room he sought information about rainfall received and condition of national highways and other roads of the state.
Dhami held telephonic conversation with the district magistrates (DM) of Pauri and Rudraprayag and took updates on situation. The DM Pauri informed that three persons were killed in Lansdowne area while two others were injured. He said that the injured have been referred to higher centre. The DM of Rudraprayag told the CM that till Sunday 6,000 pilgrims were in Kedarnath shrine out of whom 4,000 have returned while remaining 2,000 are in safe places. Dhami directed the officers to ensure that traffic on the blocked roads starts in minimum possible time. He said that special caution should be exercised in the areas reporting heavy rains.

The additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, secretary disaster management S S Murugeshan, additional chief executive officer Ridhim Agarwal and others accompanied the CM in the visit.

Home minister Shah reviews the situation

The union home minister Amit Shah took update of the situation arising out of heavy rains in Uttarakhand from chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday morning. Taking information about the preparations made by the state administration Shah assured Dhami that centre would provide every possible support to the state government to deal with the situation. The CM told the Home minister that the pilgrims have been asked not to go on the Char Dham Yatra and the administration is on alert mode.
