Discusses plans to developing U’khand as film industry hub with CM
Noted actor Akshay Kumar visited Kedarnath temple and prayed to lord Shiva on Tuesday. The actor reached the shrine in the morning. He was presented the Kedarnath Prasad, sacred ash and a Rudraksh mala by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee chief executive officer Yogendra Singh. Expressing happiness at being able to visit the temple and pay his obeisance to lord Kedarnath, the actor later greeted the public and other devotees at the pilgrimage centre. His family friend Sumit Adalka was also present along with him. Singh said that the actor walked barefoot from the helipad to the temple and visited the temple like a common person.
Later in the evening, the actor met chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun.The CM and the actor talked about developing Uttarakhand as a new film industry hub. The CM said that the State is emerging as a new favoured shooting destination for the film industry. The natural beauty of the State is attracting people to film here. The State government also wants to develop Uttarakhand as a major film destination and is also working on various schemes for this purpose, he said. The government is also working on a new film policy. Various facilities are already being provided to the industry for filming in the State, said Dhami. Kumar recalled that he had visited Kedarnath in the morning and appreciated the reconstruction works done there. The efforts done by the government for making various arrangements for the pilgrims were also appreciated by the actor.
