In latest news from Uttarakhand, the local youth’s enthusiastic participation marked the beginning of the five-day kayaking and boating training camps in Maneri and Joshiyara lakes in Uttarkashi district. Being hosted by the Uttarkashi district Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB), it is intended to arouse interest about the adventure sports among the local youngsters and subsequently enhance economic activities in the district through boosting tourism. The organisers said that in all, 30 boys and 14 girls have registered themselves for participation in the camps. Participation is no just free but UTDB is arranging accommodation and meal for the participating youths at no cost.
