Covid-19 recovery mounts to 82.84% in U’khand

The increased number of recoveries and decrease in number of new cases of the disease has increased the recovery percent from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand which is now at 82.84. The state health department reported 2,991 new cases of the novel Coronavirus on Wednesday which increased the cumulative count of the disease to 3,21,337 in Uttarakhand. The authorities also reported the death of 53 patients from the disease on the day after which the death toll has mounted to 6,113. The authorities reported 4,854 recoveries on Wednesday in the state. A total of 2,66,182 patients have recovered from the disease in the state far.

The count of the Mucormycosis ( Black Fungus) patients in Uttarakhand increased 148 on Wednesday.  A total of 12 patients have so far died from the disease.

Out of 53 deaths reported on Wednesday, eight each occurred at Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun and District hospital Rudrapur, three each at Max hospital Dehradun, Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital, Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani and KVR Hospital Kashipur. Similarly two deaths each occurred at Himalayan hospital Dehradun, Lehman Hospital Dehradun, Military Hospital Dehradun, Subharti hospital, Vinay Vishal Haridwar, HNB Base hospital Srinagar, District Hospital Pithoragarh and Futela hospital Udham Singh Nagar. The authorities added 40 deaths which had occurred in the past but were not reported in the death tally on Wednesday.

Udham Singh Nagar reported 815 new cases of Covid -19on Wednesday while Dehradun reported 414, Nainital 370, Haridwar 283, Tehri 196, Pauri 194, Chamoli 175, Almora 149, Pithoragarh 122, Rudraprayag 98, Uttarkashi 79, Bageshwar 68 and Champawat 28 new cases of the disease on the day.

The state now has 43,520 active patients of the disease. Haridwar is the top position in the list of active cases with 8178 cases. Dehradun is on second position with 6526 cases, Pauri 4977, Tehri 4,868, Udham Singh Nagar 4540, Nainital 3,082, Chamoli 2,517, Rudraprayag 2,269, Almora 1848, Pithoragarh 1,489, Uttarkashi 1,152, Bageshwar 1,247 and Champawat 827 active cases of the disease.

To contain the contagion of Covid-19, the state administration has set up 464 containment zones in different parts of the state. In the ongoing vaccination drive 12,520 people were vaccinated in 284 sessions in different parts of the state on Wednesday. A total of 6,81,1792 people have been fully vaccinated while 21,55,484 have received the first dose of the vaccine in the state.
