Arya digitally transfers 549 lakh to beneficiaries under MVY

 The Minister of Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD), Rekha Arya, digitally transferred a total amount of Rs. 549.09 lakh to beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana (MVY) on Thursday. During August, September and October, 6,122, 6,098 and 6,083 beneficiaries were digitally transferred the amount of Rs. 549.09 lakh respectively under the MVY scheme through PFMS. While digitally transferring the amount, Arya expressed her satisfaction with the progress of the MVY scheme and appreciated the digitalisation of the entire process.

She said that under the MVY government provides monthly assistance of Rs 3,000 to children who have lost a parent or guardian to Covid-19 or other diseases. The scheme covers children from birth to 21 years of age and includes free education, food, skill development and healthcare. The government has also made provisions for reservations in facilities and services. She further said that the WECD department is providing financial assistance to such children. Children need not worry anymore, as the department and State government will support them, she added.
