A speeding dumper mowed down a youth who was going with his cart near HDFC bank in Transport Nagar in Lalkuan. As per information received, the deceased was Shamsar Ahmad aged 36. He was going to attend a wedding function with his cart when the accident happened. Police rushed to the spot, impounded the dumper and arrested the driver. The deceased hailed from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh while he was presently working in a company in the ward no 5 in Lalkuan. Police sent the body to Haldwani for postmortem.
