A youth has been accused of raping a woman from his neighbourhood by making her eat samosa laced with intoxicants. The incident happened in Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district. The alleged victim has filed a case in the police station and demanded justice. In the FIR filed by her, she said that the incident had happened when she was out in her parents’ house following some problems with her husband. She is the mother of a child, she said. She further said that her intimacy had grown with a youth in the neighbourhood. She alleged in the FIR that the youth had goaded her into going to his home and made her eat samosa laced with intoxicants. Consequently, she had fallen unconscious, she alleged and added that then the youth had raped her. After regaining consciousness, when she had expressed her anger over the act, he had assured to marry her. She had been allegedly confined in his room till late night. When she had threatened to take the matter to police the youth had allegedly warned her that she would be murdered in that case.
Police said that investigation was going on and a case has been lodged against the youth under appropriate sections of the law. He would be arrested soon, police added.
