Vajpayee gave different dimension to nation’s development: Dhami

As the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee gave a different dimension to the development of the nation through steps like strengthening the basic infrastructure of the nation, farsighted schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and courageous steps like nuclear test. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said this after presenting the CM excellence and good governance awards to officers and employees on the occasion of Sushashan Diwas (Good Governance Day) held on the birth anniversary of Vajpayee on Sunday.

He said that the Central government headed by Vajpayee did unprecedented work by awakening the consciousness for development in India. Vajpayee’s  philosophy was good governance, social empowerment and harmony. It was the government headed by Vajpayee which created the State of Uttarakhand. Dhami said that presently, Uttarakhand is making swift progress under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stressed that along with the government, all the State’s people also need to fulfill their responsibilities to make Uttarakhand the best State by 2025.

Those who received the CM excellence and good governance awards 2021-22 in the individual category include Rudrapur municipal commissioner Vishal Mishra, Yamkeshwar community health centre medical officer in-charge Dr Rajiv Kumar, former STF SSP Ajai Singh, Karnprayag sub district hospital senior consultant (surgeon) Dr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Yamkeshwar block development officer Drishti Anand, SOG Champawat sub inspector Manish Khatri and Karnprayag SP office constable Naveen Kathait.

In the group category additional chief secretary Radha Raturi received the first award with team members. The other group leaders who received the awards include revenue council commissioner and secretary Chandresh Kumar, housing commissioner Surendra Narayan Pandey, the then Pithoragarh district magistrate Ashish Chauhan, the then Pauri district magistrate Vijay Kumar Jogdande, the current Chamoli district magistrate Himanshu Khurana and the then Chamoli district magistrate Swati Bhadauriya and the then Chamoli SP Shweta Choubey.

Those who received the awards in the individual category for 2020-21 include former Uttarkashi district magistrate Mayur Dixit, former Narendranagar sub divisional magistrate Yukta Mishra, professor Kamal Kishore Pandey of government PG college in Rudrapur, Maldevta government PG college professor Anita Tomar, Tanakpur government college assistant professor Pankaj Kumar Upreti and assistant project director, Champawat, Vimi Joshi.
