The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will take initiatives to tackle the migration issue in Uttarakhand if voted to power in the assembly elections.

The deputy chief minister of Delhi and senior leader of  AAP, Manish Sisodia said this while addressing mediapersons during his visit to Rudrapur on Thursday for door to door campaign. He said that unemployment and insufficient employment opportunities in mountainous areas of the state are the main causes of migration but the governments of Congress and BJP have failed to tackle the issue as both lack the plan and intention to do so. He said that AAP has plans to provide employment and employment opportunities to locals to stop the migration and will do so after winning the elections. Sisodia also appealed to the locals of Kichha in Rudrapur during his door to door visits to vote for AAP in the assembly elections scheduled for February 14. The other AAP leaders have also started door to door campaigning in other constituencies. The chief ministerial candidate of the party Ajay Kothiyal has also started the campaign in Gangotri from where he is contesting the assembly elections. The leaders informed that AAP has formed 30 teams to conduct door to door campaigns in each assembly for the next 30 days.
