In latest news from Uttarakhand, with switch spree continuing from Congress to BJP in Uttarakhand ahead of the April 19 polling, a Congress leader from Rishikesh and son of a former State minister Dinesh Dhanai Kanak Dhanai has joined the saffron fold. Notably, Dinesh had already crossed over to BJP. Kanak had contested from Rishikesh seat on Congress ticket during the 2022 assembly election. As per saffron sources, Kanak may be fielded for the mayoral election in Rishikesh.
