Notification for recruitment of 1,564 nursing officers issued

The posts would be filled on the basis of the year wise seniority of doing the qualifying degree or diploma by the applicants

Paving the way for appointment of 1,564 nursing officers in the health services , the State health department issued the notification for the Uttarakhand subordinate nursing (non gazetted) service (amendment) regulation 2022 on Tuesday.

The health secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that the 1,564 posts of nursing officers that are vacant in the health department would be filled soon. He said that the appointment letters to these candidates would be handed over by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the health minister Dhan Singh Rawat. He said that as per the new regulation the posts of nursing officers would be filled in the year 2022-23 on the basis of the year wise seniority of doing the qualifying degree or diploma and the roster of the reservation would be followed in it. He said that 80 per cent women and 20 per cent male candidates would be recruited.

Kumar added that 70 per cent posts would be filled on the basis of year wise seniority from amongst the diploma holders and remaining 30 per cent from the degree holders. The recruitment would be done by the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UMSSB).
