The 26th ICPSU Carrom Tournament organised by THDC India Limited in Rishikesh concluded on Wednesday. The five-day event that started on June 24, hosted under the banner of the Power Sports Control Board, PSCB (MOP), was meant to promote sportsmanship, camaraderie and healthy competition among the participants, the organisers said and added that 11 male teams and eight female teams of Power Sector viz. Ministry of Power(MOP), Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), National Hydro Electric Power Corporation(NHPC), Grid India, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVNL), North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. (REC), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) and host team THDC India Limited (THDCIL) participated in the tournament.

Vishnoi emphasised on the importance of such sporting events in promoting healthy and active lifestyle among the employees and fostering a sense of camaraderie within the PSUs. The executive director (Finance) A B Goel laid stress on the importance of sports in life.
