Governor inaugurates 2 day national techno fest at Dev Bhoomi University

The governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh said that the capacity, creativity and sense of patriotism of the young generation is the basis of the idea of the Viksit Bharat. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the two-day ‘Navadhara’ national techno fest and higher education conclave at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University here on Monday.

 The governor said that the creation of an excellent higher education system is a crucial challenge for us and stressed the importance of integrating the education system with technology and research. He remarked that Navadhara techno fest, symbolises convergence of nine streams, representing the enthusiasm of students, coupled with a seamless blend of technology and exploration. He opined that such efforts will realize the dream of a developed India.

 The vice chancellor of the university Preeti Kothiyal welcomed the guests. The zeal of students in the fest reflects a promising vision for a developed India by 2047. “Our endeavour is to deliberate under the new education policy and promote industry-oriented education-based programs in higher education,’’ she said. 

The national secretary of the Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Atul Kothari and director of USERC, Dehradun, Anita Rawat were also present on the occasion. 

Kothari expressed that this is a pivotal era for India’s development, wherein the rapid adoption of technology and research is imperative and Navadhara will prove to be a milestone in this journey.

More than 100 teams from different universities and institutions are taking part in the fest. 

 The chancellor of the university Sanjay Bansal, pro chancellor Aman Bansal and pro vice chancellor RK Tripathi and others were present on the occasion.
