The Railway Board has given its approval for the final location survey of Tanakpur – Bageshwar new broad-gauge line in Uttarakhand. The 154.58 rail link is expected to cost a sum of Rs 28.95 Crores. In a letter directed to the General Manager North Eastern Railways, the director project monitoring of Railway board Pankaj Kumar said that the expenditure of the survey would be done from the budget provisions made for surveys in the year 2020-21
