Rawat gives appointment letters to newly appointed nursing officers

The State health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has given appointment letters to 93 newly appointed nursing officers at a programme held in development block auditorium at Chiniyalisaur in Uttarkashi district on Wednesday. While congratulating them, he exhorted them to perform their duty with dedication and honesty. He further said that the State government has decided to make more than 11,000 appointments in the health department involving various posts in the health sector and added that on the completion of the recruitment process, the State would see enhanced health facilities.  

Further, the State health minister has set a target of making the district and the State free from Tuberculosis by 2024 and completely literate and drug-free by 2025. He urged all healthcare workers and the common people to work together to help the State government achieve these goals. Besides, he directed the officials concerned to submit a report to the CMO for setting up a sub-district hospital catering to the medical needs of the Chardham pilgrims on the Gangotri National Highway and opening sub-district hospitals in Bhatwari and Chiniyalisaur.
