CM’s statement on verification, civil code part of new agenda – BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party State vice president Devendra Bhasin has said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi the face of the politics in the country has changed and that development now occupies the centre stage of the political agenda. Similarly contemplation is also going on in Uttarakhand on setting up a new vision for the state. Bhasin said that the first point of the BJP’s vision document was protection of the ‘Devatva’ (divinity) of Uttarakhand and the statements of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on the Uniform Civil Code and the verification of people are part of the new agenda for the state. He said that security of the Devatva of Uttarakhand is also the new agenda and CM Dhami has undertaken many steps in this direction.

The BJP leader was interacting with the media persons on the occasion of the end of the social justice fortnight organised by the party. He said that as the country is celebrating 75 years of its independence under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and deliberations and contemplation are going on about what we have achieved and what we should have achieved in the last 75 years. Bhasin added that time has arrived when we should dream with open eyes and set our goals for the next 25 years.  In the context of Uttarakhand, he said that the PM Modi has himself the agenda of the state for next 10 years in which he has said that the state should become the leading state of the country.

The party’s state spokesman Vinod Suyal and others were present with Bhasin on the occasion.
