CM checks Covid facilities in Tehri, inaugurates various development works

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat inspected the district hospital, Bauradi emergency service, ICU and other facilities in Tehri district on Monday. Donning a PPE kit, the CM also took feedback from the admitted Covid patients about the treatment and other facilities at the 450 bed Covid care centre in Bhagirathipuram.

Following that he directed the officials to complete work on the 500 LPM oxygen generation plant at the district hospital in a week. On completion of construction of this plant, oxygen supply for 80 beds will be available from here.

During the inspection, the chief minister said that the district hospital should not remain a referral centre. He gave clear instructions to the health department officials to ensure treatment of all types of patients coming to the district hospital.

Rawat then laid the foundation stone/inaugurated a total of 42 schemes costing Rs 95.73 crore. These include 21 schemes worth Rs 59.18 crore which were inaugurated and 21 schemes worth Rs 36.55 crore for which the foundation stones were unveiled. The chief minister then virtually inaugurated a 70-bed Covid care centre at the Devprayag guest house of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam. The Agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal, minister in-charge of Tehri, Yatishwaranand, district magistrate Eva Ashish Srivastava, MLAs Dhan Singh Negi, Shakti Lal Shah, district Panchayat chairperson Sona Sajwan, senior superintendent of police, Tripti Bhatt and others were present on the occasion.

Later the chief minister also held a meeting with the district level officials to review the preparations for the monsoon.He directed them to ensure that all preparations are done on time to mitigate and manage any disaster scenario during the rains.
