The Central Bank of India, Dehradun regional office organised an inter-bank extempore speech competition under the aegis of the Rajbhasha implementation committee. The event was presided over by the bank’s regional manager Arun Pathak. Stating that Hindi is the people’s language, he said that work should be done in the language. Pathak pointed out that developed nations like Japan, Germany, Russia and France among others do their work in their own languages instead of English. Vipin Kapil from Indian Overseas Bank, Ankit Yadav from Punjab National Bank and Pawan Singh from Canara Bank won the first, second and third positions respectively in the competition. Chief manager Ashok Taneja and others were also present on the occasion.
