Coming on the heels of the infamous Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case, the examination paper leak of the Patwari, Lekhpal examination has given ammunition to the opposition Congress party to attack the State government. The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the State assembly Yashpal Arya said that the latest paper leak case has shown that the Mafia involved in the copying and examination related malpractices has no fear of the State government. Terming the paper leak case of Patwari examination as unfortunate, the LoP said that the State Task Force (STF) has accepted the paper was leaked by a teacher in connivance with a section officer posted in the secrecy department of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UkPSC). He said that it proves that along with the UKSSSC, the tentacles of the examination mafia are spread in the UkPSC also. Arya said that the State government had claimed that it had broken the back of the examination mafia by taking strong punitive action but the latest case has proved the claims to be hollow. “It is unfortunate that the UkPSC which was entrusted with the task of conducting examinations has leaked the very first paper,’’ he said.  The LoP said that the youngsters could lose their patience if it would take years to conduct one examination. He warned that the Congress would not let the government fiddle with the future of youngsters and would fight both inside the assembly and outside it.
