The Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra laid the foundation stone of Maharishi Valmiki temple in Ganeshpur area of the town on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion he said that soon the majestic temple of the Saint would get completed. He said that every effort would be made for the welfare of the downtrodden.
On the day Batra also attended the inaugural ceremony of Gurukulam in Roorkee. Mayor Gaurav Goyal, Former minister Thakur Sanjay Singh, Councillor Kuldeep Tomar, former district panchayat member Sukhvinder Valmiki, Sanjeev Tomar, Abhishek, Satish Kumar and hundreds of party workers were present on the occasion.
