Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s visit to the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Haridwar was marked by a short circuit. However, the situation did not escalate into a major mishap. Dhami was welcomed enthusiastically to the beats of drums at the party office in Jagjeetpur area.
However, shortly after he entered the party office, black smoke started emanating from the main fuse box when the chief minister not passing by. The short circuit resulted in a power cut due to which all the fans and coolers stopped functioning. The chief minister, the ministers and MLAs accompanying him tolerated the heat but with the microphone inoperational sans power, he could not address the gathering of party workers formally.
