The Uttarakhand unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that suspension of Sub Inspectors (SI) of police shows the ‘ Zero tolerance on corruption’ policy of the State government and exposes the Congress party. The media in charge of the State BJP Manveer Chauhan said that the Congress party which makes regular demands of investigation in recruitment cases needs to do introspection. He said that the 20 SI’s who have been suspended were recruited in the year 2015-16 when the government of Congress party was there in the State.  Chauhan claimed that the Patwari examination was held twice during the Congress government and on both occasions open corruption occurred in them. He said that it is interesting to note that those who always patronised corruption are now raising questions on the capability of the investigating agencies despite historic action on the examination related malpractices by the Pushkar Singh Dhami government. Terming the decision of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to enact the most stringent of the laws against copying as necessary and a just action, the BJP leader said that the BJP government has undertaken swift, strict and historical action on the recruitment scams. He said that those who patronised corruption are making maximum noise in protest. Chauhan said that the Patwari paper leak case was exposed by the agencies after taking cognizance themselves. He said that the provision of the life sentence to the culprits of paper leak in the proposed anti-copying act underlies the commitment of the BJP government against the corruption.
