39 new Covid-19 cases reported in U’khand

The state health department reported 39 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 41 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Death of no patient from the disease was reported on the day.

The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,462 while a total of 3,28,610 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7368 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 95.96.  The state health department reported 13 new patients of Covid -19 each from Dehradun, five from Haridwar, four from Uttarkashi, three each from Bageshwar and Champawat, two each from Almora, Chamoli, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag and one from Pauri on Tuesday. No new patient was found in Tehri and Udham Singh Nagar district on the day.

 The state now has 444 active cases of Covid 19. Dehradun with 179 cases is at top of the table of active cases while Pithoragarh is at second spot with 54 active cases. Chamoli has 50, Champawat 32, Udham Singh Nagar 26, Rudraprayag 25, Uttarkashi 21, Haridwar and Pauri 14 each, Bageshwar 12, Nainital seven, Tehri six and Almora four active patients of the disease.

 The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) and death of one patient from the disease on Tuesday. A total of 570 patients of the disease have so far been reported.  The vaccination drive gathered momentum on Tuesday as 1,19,596 people were vaccinated in 731 sessions in different parts of the state.
