Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya hosted a three-day conference on value education and Bhagavad Gita in Gurugram. Academicians from about fifty universities spread across the country aside from some ascetics and heads of religious institutions participated in it and expounded the essence of the sacred book and the foundational principles of value education. The spiritual leader and Padma Bhusan recipient Sri Tridandi Chinna inaugurated the conference and said in his address that the Gita is not just about positive thoughts.  When positive thoughts get transformed into power thoughts by one’s good actions, these might transform the world, he said while explaining the core of the Gita.  The Venkateshwara Group chairman Sudhir Giri said that the Gita is not just a religious book but it exemplifies the right art of living. The pro- chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University Rajeev Tyagi said that the Gita is a philosophy of divine living meant for mass assimilation and underscored the need of value education as an instrument for ushering in positive transformation in thinking and world peace.  The Indian high commissioner in Uganda U S Rawat was also present at the conference.
