Hemkund Sahib Yatra is all set to start on May 20 while there is still 10 feet snow around this shrine due to the heavy snowfall this year. This continuous spell of snowfall has been obstructing the preparations of the yatra. The army jawans remained engaged in clearing snow from the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara. Thereafter, fresh snowfall started again and the army jawans have to resume the task of clearing snow from the paths of the shrine all over again.
