The Health and Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat will tour Kumaon region on October 10 and 11. During his two-day tour of the region, the minister will conduct inspections of various medical units and schools in Nainital and Almora districts. In addition to this he will also chair review meetings of the Education, Higher Education and Health departments in these two districts to ascertain the ground situation in these departments.
According to official sources, the minister is visiting the two districts to check the ground condition of healh and education systems in these areas of Kumaon. In a statement issued to the media, Rawat said that he will tour Nainital and Almora districts on October 10 and 11. He will reawch Nainital district directly from Delhi. On Tuesday morning, he will first attend a programme organised by workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He will also attend a meeting with the party workers wherein he will discuss the policies of the party and the government.
After the event with the party workers, he will inspect the nursing college in Gusainpur and then he will visit the community health centre in Kaladhungi. At the community health centre in Kaladhungi, he will check the various schemes related to public health being implemented by the Central and State governments in addition to interacting with the patients and their relatives and learning about their issues. He will also seek information about the Ayushman Bhava programme. After Kaladhungi, the cabinet minister will visit the government college in Kotabagh where he will chair a review meeting regarding the school education, higher education and health department works in the Kaladhungi Vidhan Sabha constituency.
The minister will then inspect the Kotabagh community health centre and Belpadav primary health centre and also seek information about the various schemes of the Health department. The minister will then reach the Higher Education directorate in Haldwani where he will chair a meeting to review the works of the Higher Education department. On Wednesday, the minister will hold a review meeting of the departments under his purview in Almora. He will also inspect various schools and medical treatment units in the district where he will also interact with the public and seek their feedback regarding various government schemes.
