A woman in Bageshwar district allegedly killed her husband in a fit of rage with a stone during a minor dispute. The brother of the deceased Basant Kandpal filed a complaint against his sister-in-law in the Kapkot police station of the district on Sunday. According to the officials, the brother stated in his complaint to the police that the accused Munni Devi and her husband Dhirendra Kandpal were having an argument late on Saturday. The argument escalated and the wife hit her husband with a stone due to which he died on the spot. The Kapkot police station in-charge Kailash Bisht said that the police reached the spot after getting information about the death. The body was sent for the post mortem on Sunday morning and was handed over to the family by the evening. Kandpal has four daughters out of which, the elder daughter is married. The deceased was the only earning member of the family. The police said that they are yet to clear the cause of the dispute between husband and wife. A case has been registered under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code and the investigation is ongoing, he added.
