Nainital Bank registers further growth in 2023-24

The Nainital Bank registered an operating profit of Rs 107.82 crore in the financial year 2023-24 while its total business grew from Rs 12,305 crore to 13,086 crore. Informing the media about the bank’s activities, its managing director Nikhil Mohan said that in this year the bank has achieved a 13.80 per cent annual increase in its demand deposit, 9.85 per cent increase in its saving deposit and 7.63 per cent annual increase in its total deposits. The net NPA of the bank is less than one per cent which is considered to be a good standard in the banking sector. He further informed that on March 31, 2024, the net profit of the bank was Rs 47.10 crore. The bank has prepared a proposal to open 12 new branches this year. Speaking about the new schemes of the bank, Mohan said that to encourage financial inclusion, the bank is also providing its service in rural areas through mobile banking vans. The bank will soon launch its mobile banking application to provide the latest banking facilities to its customers, he added. The bank’s chief operating officer Deepak Pant, vice president Rahul Pradhan and associate vice president of human resources, Sanjay Gupta were also present on the occasion.
