A delegation of women from across Uttarakhand met the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to express gratitude for the latter’s announcement that the Chaitra Navratri would be celebrated this year as a festival of women empowerment. The women delegation was led by the president of the state BJP Mahila Morcha Asha Nautiyal. This aside, they thanked the CM for 30 percent reservation for women in state government jobs and free refilling of three cylinders and some other welfare measures taken by the state government.
