Sportspersons from Uttarakhand performed well in the 11th mini and 5th child national fencing competition held recently at Nashik in Maharashtra. Senior team manager Amit Kumar informed that Uttarakhand’s Prakamya Kothari won the gold in the under-10 category girls sabre contest and bronze in the under-12 category.
Aniruddh won bronze in the under-12 boys sabre contest while in the under-12 boys sabre team event, the team of Aniruddh, Vansh, Anurag and Kushagra won the silver medal. Dehradun district fencing association head Vipin Baluni congratulated the players and the coach Pradeep Kothari.
