Rawat seeks divine support for poll victory

Visits Badrinath shrine along with senior leader Yashpal Arya

With politicians of various political parties continuing to visit prominent shrines in the state, former chief minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat visited Badrinath on Saturday.

Rawat reached Badrinath on Saturday morning along with former cabinet minister Yashpal Arya who has recently returned to the Congress from the BJP. The duo offered prayers at the temple. Talking to the local media persons after paying obeisance at the temple, Rawat said that he had prayed to the lord to establish a Congress government in Uttarakhand in 2022.

Stating that as far as the Congress is concerned the Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board is imminently dissolved, he said that after formation of its government in the state, the Congress government will first dissolve the Devasthanam Board.
