Heavy rain likely in Dehradun & 2 other districts

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Dehradun and two other districts today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in Dehradun, Uttarkashi and Bageshwar districts on Sunday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in the districts of Garhwal region and in the mountains of Kumaon region and at a few places in plains of Kumaon region with intense showers likely at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur with intense showers/heavy rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 32.8 degrees Celsius and 23.9 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.7 degrees Celsius and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar, 24.6 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
