Civil & military authorities to conduct joint survey in U’khand

 The civil administration of Uttarakhand and the military authorities would conduct a joint survey for identifying the areas for military facilities and public amenities in the State. This decision was taken in the meeting of the civil-military liaison conference held at the State secretariat on Friday. Presiding over the conference, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhamis said that a joint survey is needed for different activities of the army and for the public amenities. He said that the report of the joint survey should be submitted to the State administration within three months so that proper solution and disposal of the problems and disputes is done.

 The CM said that Uttarakhand is a very important State in terms of its strategic significance. He assured that the expectations of the army would be solved on the basis of priority. Dhami said that the coordination meeting should result in an output. He added that Uttarakhand is the State where large numbers of youth join the armed forces. In the meeting the officers of army and State administration discussed many issues listed on the agenda of the conference.

 The meeting was attended by the chief secretary of Uttarakhand S S Sandhu, additional chief secretary (ACS) Radha Raturi, ACS Anand Vardhan, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Uttar Bharat Area Lieutenant General JP Mathew, , GOC Uttarakhand Sub Area Major General Sanjeev Khatri, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, Director General of Police Ashok Kumar, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Dilip Javalkar, VK Suman and senior officers of India army.
