Doon to get warmer, rain likely in six districts

The maximum temperature in the provisional State capital Dehradun is expected to rise a notch while some places in six mountainous districts are forecast to experience light to moderate rain on Monday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Almora and Pithoragarh districts today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts.

Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 36 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 35.7 degrees Celsius and 21.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.6 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 25 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 26.1 degrees Celsius and 14.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
