In latest news from Uttarakhand, the two-day experiential learning programme christened as ‘Know the Water’ hosted by Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC) concluded on the World Water Day observed on Friday. Presiding over the closing ceremony, the director USERC Prof Anita Rawat said that the ‘Water for Peace’ theme of World Water Day is important in the present time. She dwelt on the important role students might play in water conservation work and added that scientific study of water sources has become immensely important for policy making.
Two expert lectures on the topics of ‘Water Quality Analysis and Impact on Human Health’ and ‘Wetland Management and Conservation’ were delivered in the technical session of the programme. Students of several higher educational institutions, including
DAV (PG) College Dehradun, MKP (PG) College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University and Government College Maldevta, attended the programme.
